Communications & Engagement Manager
mission-driven Communications & Engagement Manager to lead the organization's storytelling,
engagement strategies, and communications that inspire volunteerism, strengthen donor
relationships, cultivate corporate partnerships, and elevate community awareness.
This role serves as the organization's engagement architect; designing communications that
move individuals, volunteers, donors, partners, and community members from awareness to
action. Working collaboratively across the organization, the Communications & Engagement
Manager ensures every story, campaign, and communication advances BBBSCC's mission and
supports measurable growth in community engagement and philanthropic investment.This role will report to the Vice President of Development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Storytelling & Brand Management (35%)
Lead the development of compelling stories and creative assets that strengthen BBBSCC's brand
and inspire engagement.
Engagement Pathways & Campaign Management (40%)
Develop communications that intentionally move stakeholders through meaningful
engagement journeys.
Digital Communications & Community Engagement (15%)
Manage BBBSCC's digital presence to increase awareness and inspire action.
Analytics & Performance (10%)
Measure communications effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous
improvement.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or
related field, or equivalent work experience.
Three or more years of communications, marketing, nonprofit, or related experience.
Exceptional writing, storytelling, editing, and project management skills.
Experience with photography, video production, graphic design, and social media
management.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with external
partners.
Preferred
Experience in nonprofit communications or fundraising.
Experience with donor stewardship and engagement communications.
Familiarity with website management, CRM platforms, and email marketing tools.
